I can't believe she did it again

Okay, so I do not normally post stuff like this but I just could not resist. Anyway, if you think having another kid will solve your problems then you are mistaken. All I have to ask is are you insane?

I hate Customer Service Calls

They take way too much time than I want to give up on the phone. The other day I received something in the mail that said my mortgage payment was late it was not. When I called my mortgage company I found out that my previous mortgage co did not transfer my august payment to my new mortgage company when they sold my loan in August. Anyway, after talking to my previous mtg company they had applied my august payment to extra principal. To give you some background information. I paid my July and august payment at the same time not knowing that my mortgage was being sold yet again. Anyway, my old mortgage company is correcting that and sending my august payment to my new mortgage company This should have been one phone call not three but it was so wound up spending 1 hour on the phone including wait time to speak with someone at customer service.

Roll Tide!!!

Well if that was not a good game I do not know what is. I did not watch it all but I watched enough to know that it was a good game. We had a funeral to go to this morning and then ate a late lunch with friends at Buffalo Wild Wings. I think that I made my hubby crazy since I was watching part of the game at the restaurant. My husband is not a huge football fan so he thinks that I am not all there when I start yelling run go. Anyhow, I think I will keep this short since I am running out of things to say.

Weekend Update

Well not much to update here. We helped out a friend this weekend with his kids at a birthday party and then had dinner at my parents house. My parents never really extend an invitation to dinner the conversation usually goes like this. On Friday afternoon dad says to me I might accidentally cook something to eat tomorrow and I say okay see you then. Anyway, so about 8:30 Friday night my phone rings and it is dad saying that he has decided to accidentally cook and that my mom has a wedding to go to so it will probably be about 6 or 6:30 when we eat. So after assisting our friend at a birthday party with two kids who have enough energy for about 12 kids we headed over to my parents house. Dad made country ribs and boy were they good. During dinner my sister calls to get the score of the LSU and UK game. She my niece, and brother in law went to Disney in Florida. I should say that about a month ago my sister dropped a pewter elephant on her toe and broke it in 3 places so sh...

100 Dishes to Eat In Alabama Before you Die

The other day I was thinking about my aunts chicken salad recipe which is featured in the brochure that was printed two years ago. I also have learned that the list has been updated. Anyway, back to the story of my aunts chicken salad. The restaurant which is in Boaz Alabama is called the Mill Street Deli. Many years ago my aunt and cousin owned the deli and served her chicken salad there and it was as popular back then as it is now. In the early 90's after a divorce my aunt and cousin sold the place and the chicken salad recipe went with the restaurant. I always like to eat at the Deli when we go to Boaz but have not been there in a while. So here it is now that I have been thinking about it. Aunt Nell's Chicken Salad 5 chicken breast halves, cooked and chopped 1 c chopped celery2 c seedless red grapes (halved) 1 c slivered almonds (toasted)1 c mayonnaise 1 c sour cream 4 hard cooked eggs, chopped Combine first 4 ingredients in large bowl. Stir mayonnaise and sour cream...

Suzannes Handmade Jewelry

I Know it has been a while since I have updated this. Truthfully I have not had much to say. I recently started my own handmade jewelry business. I started making jewelry for friends and am now entertaining the idea of doing a local craft show next year. I missed the deadline for this fall show and did not feel that I would have enough time to make the spring show so I am aiming for the fall 2008 show. I hope that everyone who reads this will feel free to shop at my store and drop me a line. Happy blog reading.

I have been meaning to update

I really have been meaning to update this thing more often. Had a nice long weekend. Saturday helped a friend of mine with her garage sale. While at the sale someone from high school recognized me. I was really surprised since I had not seen this person in 18 years. Anyway, i had a nice chat with her. You never know who you will run into at a garage sale. Anyway, we went to the concert in the park last night. It was really an enjoyable evening.

Have I told You about?

Have I told you about the insane man that I am married to? So I came home from work on Thursday to find that my husband had finally located our wedding video. We have been trying to locate it since we moved into our other house in Illinois. After our move in 2003 into that house we purchased a DVD player that is a DVD recorder. Anyway, my husband actually located it and burned it to a DVD . So yesterday while I am in Atlanta for my nieces birthday I get text at 6:30am eastern time from my crazy man that he has put our wedding video on You tube . I told my sister that I did not know whether to hug him or strangle him. Things sure do change in 15 years.

This is Just Insane

Well It looks like we will be going to the polls in August. I personally think that voting the city dry would be a mistake. The city will be losing a ton of money by going dry. At some point there must have been enough people wanting the City wet when the rest of the County is dry. If this passes I guess that I will just have to drive over to the next county and buy my wine and beer.

How Can this Happen

I was surfing Google news earlier and found this article. You would think that the mgr or bartender or waiter that fixed the drink would know the difference in appearance of Margarita Mix and Apple Juice. Why on earth would you keep the Apple Juice near the Margarita Mix and in a similar container to what the Margarita mix is kept in? I have heard of some crazy things but this takes the cake. At least the restaurant will be picking up the kids medical bills from the incident.

Vanilla Coke Update

At long last it is finally here in my area. I have been searching all the stores I could think of last week. Yesterday a friend of mine said Wal Mart had it and her hubby said Publix had it so we went in search of it and Low and Behold the first place we stopped had it in stock. Yeah for Coca Cola they are my friend once again. I told my mother in law I was almost ready to call the bottler and request that they bottle it and me buy it directly from them. Anyway, I will keep this short. Tomorrow night is the weekly concert in the park. If you live in the area you should check it out. It is a lot of fun and good music too.

Vanilla Coke is back!

After a year and a half of waiting, Vanilla Coke is back with a new design and the same awesome taste. It is only available in 20 ounce bottles at the moment, with other packaging coming soon. So when is it going to be available for purchase in Alabama. I want to know. My mouth is watering for it as we speak. read more | digg story

Vanilla Coke Coming Back

Okay I was really happy when I read this article. Now I would like to know who in my area is carrying or will be carrying it. I have looked at Publix and Wal-Mart and Target and CVS. Anyway, it would be nice to know where I can purchase this. I told my dad I may have to have my sister send me a case from Atlanta. I was upset when they pulled it from the market before. It seems like when I find a drink I like stores stopped carrying it. When it was pulled before I discovered Dr Pepper Berries and Cream which I now cannot find anywhere.

Grilled Salmon with Veggies

Well I think I have found another tasty Salmon Recipe. I like to cook Salmon fairly often and like to try different ways to prepare the salmon. I think maybe I might whip this up sometime this weekend. Kind of hard to plan your meals when your hubby is working nights for the last month and a half. Well I did not mean to get off track there. I think that I will keep this post short and sweet until I find another recipe to post.

Thinking about Something to Post

I know I have not posted much lately. This time I think that I will post a few links of some of my favorite places to get recipes. I enjoy cooking. I also take a lot of help from websites like this one. Here is another one of my favorite places to get recipes from. I hope that everyone enjoys my links today for Recipes.

10 Graduations over 2 Days

What a concept lets have one venue host 10 graduations and do it over a 2 day span. Of course the day I graduated 18 years ago was a day where 3 high schools were scheduled. My high school was the last to have their graduation ceremony as is the same this year as well. At least there is some method to the madness let the largest senior classes have their ceremony last. I thought getting in and out of the Von Braun Center was a pain that long ago. I cannot imagine the traffic headaches today where 6 high schools are having their ceremonies today. It is a good thing that I did not have to go to that area of town for anything.

Addams Family To Broadway

Well as I was reading the entertainment news on google. I found this article. Seems kind of strange to me.

Studio 60 fans not taking no for an answer

While industry pundits are busy scooping NBC's defacto cancellation of Studio 60, die-hard fans are having none of it. As Monday's show aired, a new "Save Studio 60" petition was put up at http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/Save-NBC-Studio-60. That petition has attracted 3000 signatures in the first day and looks to be picking up steam. Since this was posted on Digg and I signed the petition it had over 5000 signatures. So contrary to what some people think this show does have a fan base. read more | digg story

Ice and Sleet

I am glad that we do not live here. Every time they report snow in other states my dad says to me I bet you are glad you don’t live there anymore. I spent 8 winters in places where it snows. When I was a kid I used to always want snow but after 8 winters I am glad that I moved back to an area that freaks out when they get ice or a flake of snow. We had a couple of rounds of sleet and freezing rain this morning. I decided to take another route since the road that I normally take has bridges and over passes on it. I put my car in 4 wheel drive and headed out but the further from my house and closer to town I got the worse the roads were. By the time I had turned around the elevated portions of the interstate that I drive everyday and the elevated portions of the parkway had closed because there were so many accidents. By the time I had turned around and headed back towards home they were reporting accidents left and right. The city that I reside the closest to reported 17 acc...
Upper respiratory infections really are a bummer.  Tuesday night I went to my dad’s for Shrimp and Grits.  I told my husband that night I could feel a sore throat coming on.  I woke up yesterday morning feeling very crappy and this morning even worse.  I went to work and around 2 i had had enough and left to go to the Dr office.  I wound up waiting about 2 hrs before I saw the Dr who gave me a prescription for nasonex and Allegra.  I presented my id card at the pharmacy only to find out that our prescription drug coverage is not the same as our medical insurance.  I called my hubby to find out if he had the card with him.  He didn’t so I had to pay full price for my medicine.  One of my prescriptions was $96.50 and that was for nasonex if I had had my card I would have only paid $28.00 for that and $28 for the Allegra.  As it stands now I have to submit for reimbursement now since I did not have or know about the separate car...

Interesting Winter So Far

Days like today make me glad that I moved back to the south. Since the start of the new year we have had quite a bit of rain. So much so that it is still standing in the field down the road from my house. Today we hit around 70 degrees for a high. It was so nice 70 in January is rare. January and February are usually the coldest time of year around here. I am just glad that I am not in the Midwest anymore. I spent enough winters where it snowed and have had to drive in it enough to satisfy me for a lifetime. Well enough for now I need to get started on my shopping list for tomorrow.

Bath Junkie

For Christmas this year a friend of mine gave me a gift certificate to this place. Well last weekend we went there and picked out what we wanted. I chose this product and love it. I picked vanilla raspberry. They also have another product that we tried out in the store and it is wonderful. In fact i liked it so much that we are planning a trip back to the store to get this product.
