Flu Shot Shortage

The past couple of days I have been blogging about the shortage of the flu vaccination and how real it has become here in the United States. I think I keep harping on it because it irritates me that Americans would have to wait in long lines just to get a shot. Someone had commented on my blog today about how the military is getting their shots first Below is a copy of the comment that was posted. "From my understanding the armed forces are getting their flu shots first. Still it doesn't make sense that there is not enough shots for everyone who might need it. There should have been better planning as the vaccines were being made. Better to have a slight surplus than a deficit." I am not disagreeing with everything that this person said but I did come across an article that seems to disprove that the military is getting their shots first. Apparently, the military is feeling the effects of the shortage as much as the general public is. I know that this is kind of repetitive but it is something that harps at me because Americans elderly or not should not have to be subject to getting a number and hoping that they are lucky enough that they can get vaccinated. I agree that it should have been better planned and I do agree that a surplus of vaccine rather than a deficit would be better.
