I hate Customer Service Calls

They take way too much time than I want to give up on the phone. The other day I received something in the mail that said my mortgage payment was late it was not. When I called my mortgage company I found out that my previous mortgage co did not transfer my august payment to my new mortgage company when they sold my loan in August. Anyway, after talking to my previous mtg company they had applied my august payment to extra principal. To give you some background information. I paid my July and august payment at the same time not knowing that my mortgage was being sold yet again. Anyway, my old mortgage company is correcting that and sending my august payment to my new mortgage company This should have been one phone call not three but it was so wound up spending 1 hour on the phone including wait time to speak with someone at customer service.

Roll Tide!!!

Well if that was not a good game I do not know what is. I did not watch it all but I watched enough to know that it was a good game. We had a funeral to go to this morning and then ate a late lunch with friends at Buffalo Wild Wings. I think that I made my hubby crazy since I was watching part of the game at the restaurant. My husband is not a huge football fan so he thinks that I am not all there when I start yelling run go. Anyhow, I think I will keep this short since I am running out of things to say.

Weekend Update

Well not much to update here. We helped out a friend this weekend with his kids at a birthday party and then had dinner at my parents house. My parents never really extend an invitation to dinner the conversation usually goes like this. On Friday afternoon dad says to me I might accidentally cook something to eat tomorrow and I say okay see you then. Anyway, so about 8:30 Friday night my phone rings and it is dad saying that he has decided to accidentally cook and that my mom has a wedding to go to so it will probably be about 6 or 6:30 when we eat. So after assisting our friend at a birthday party with two kids who have enough energy for about 12 kids we headed over to my parents house. Dad made country ribs and boy were they good. During dinner my sister calls to get the score of the LSU and UK game. She my niece, and brother in law went to Disney in Florida. I should say that about a month ago my sister dropped a pewter elephant on her toe and broke it in 3 places so sh...

100 Dishes to Eat In Alabama Before you Die

The other day I was thinking about my aunts chicken salad recipe which is featured in the brochure that was printed two years ago. I also have learned that the list has been updated. Anyway, back to the story of my aunts chicken salad. The restaurant which is in Boaz Alabama is called the Mill Street Deli. Many years ago my aunt and cousin owned the deli and served her chicken salad there and it was as popular back then as it is now. In the early 90's after a divorce my aunt and cousin sold the place and the chicken salad recipe went with the restaurant. I always like to eat at the Deli when we go to Boaz but have not been there in a while. So here it is now that I have been thinking about it. Aunt Nell's Chicken Salad 5 chicken breast halves, cooked and chopped 1 c chopped celery2 c seedless red grapes (halved) 1 c slivered almonds (toasted)1 c mayonnaise 1 c sour cream 4 hard cooked eggs, chopped Combine first 4 ingredients in large bowl. Stir mayonnaise and sour cream...
